Turn Your Worries into Prayers!
Increased fear, worry, and anxiety have hit new heights for many. This overwhelming impact is felt by believers and non-believers alike. The stress and anxiety of the world is creeping into the lives of even the most faithful Christians — placing a strain on their faith, families, and relationships.
That’s why we’ve created a new resource based on Lectio Divina — a monastic discipline dating back to the 6th century — to help you engage in consistent and powerful prayer.
Lectio Divina is traditionally composed of four steps (read, meditate, pray, contemplate) that draw the participant’s focus away from the circumstances around them to the life-giving word of God and the powerful goodness of our Lord Himself. This perspective adjustment brings both peace and reassurance to curb the anxiety that so persistently plagues us.
In a new eBook from Belmont Abbey College, we’ll walk you through each of the four steps of Lectio Divina. You’ll also learn a little about the history, tradition, benefits of the practice, and how to apply it to your life. You’ll also be reminded of the power of sincere and heartfelt prayer to a heavenly Father who listens to His children and acts for their good.
If you or someone you know has been dealing with fear, worry, and/or anxiety, we hope that you’ll find blessing and encouragement in reading and sharing this practical eBook.
