Develop the Next Generation of Virtuous Business Leaders

This Founders’ Day, you can help the Business and Computer Science Departments expand scholarships, resources, and professional development opportunities.
Business at the Abbey teaches much more than just merited financial success. In addition to imparting key skills and knowledge, the Business faculty also model and encourage honesty, integrity, and virtue in our future business leaders.
Last year generous Founders’ Day donations enabled us to create the Investment Club, in which students manage a stock portfolio and practice financial strategies.
When you make a gift to the Business program today, your gift will provide the necessary support to:
- Fund student scholarships: So many students seek a quality education in business and finance and they need a helping hand to get started. Be the difference in a young business leader’s life.
- Send faculty to discipline-specific conferences to both present and network, further cultivating their expertise.
Help the Computer Science Department keep pace with the ever-changing technology industry.
Your gift to the Computer Science Department can provide the necessary support to:
- Improve technology lab in Stowe Hall.
- Upgrade software on library computers
- Attend technology conferences such as the ACM-SIGCSE conference

“When I entered the Abbey, economics was only a minor, and in four years, I became part of the first economics graduating class in decades. Thanks to the professors’ encouragement, especially Dr. Watson as my advisor, I graduated summa cum laude and I am now pursuing an M.A. in Economics at George Mason University and conducting research as a Mercatus Center MA Fellow. I am so thankful for the guidance of the Economics department and am excited to see what my future holds.”

“After graduation I was offered a position doing corporate accounting for a small private company. I’ve held numerous positions in accounting and finance and worked for three different companies throughout my career. I am currently a Legal Entity Controller at BofA. I truly love my job and enjoy going to work every day. I thank my amazing accounting professors at The Abbey for guiding my path.”

“Belmont Abbey College was instrumental in my development early in life. The Abbey showed me that I could do it. The smaller class sizes afforded me the attention I needed from the professors which in turn bettered my education. I was taught the foundation of business and economics that I continue to build on today.”
